A catalyst of rare earth and ironic solid-superacids(Fe 2O 3/S 2O 2 - 8/La 3 +) was prepared by modifying the solid superacids with lanthanum, and was used in the synthesis of glyceryl triacetates. The optimum reacting conditions were as follows: glycerine was 100mmol, the mole ratio of acetic acid to glycerine 1 ∶6, the quantity of catalyst was 1.5g, the reaction time was 3h,benzene of bring-water reagent was 7mL. The yield of esterification was up to 93% under the optimum conditions.
