摘要
未来的全光网能够传送声音、数据和视频信号而不管采用何种比特率和传输格式,其难点是实现性能监控和网络管理功能。10Gb/s及其以上速率的光传输系统的非线性效应很强,对系统最终的误码率有着举足轻重的影响。人们常用Q因子来衡量系统性能。分析了Q因子与传统误码率测量的不同之处,给出了Q因子的计算和测量方法。
The All Optical Network(AON) of the future envisages the ability to transport a mix of voice,data and video signals over optical,regardless of bit rate and transmission format.The main obstacles to fulfilling this are limitations in the functions of performance monitoring and network management.The non-linear impairments are very strong in high-speed networks running at 10Gb/s or above.It has enormous effects on the finally Bit-Error-Rate of the system.We often use Q factor to assess the performance of digital data links.The solution proposed here analyse the difference between the Q factor and the conventional BER test.It also give the calculation and the method of the test.
