Based on a profound study of the variation law of phase difference between two periodic signals and the ordinary frequency measurement method, this paper presents a new method for comparing frequency standards, which is based on the Lissajous figure. The new method can be used in the measurement of atomic frequency standards and high-stability frequency sources.
