The paper introduces the design of the fingerprint reader based on computer universal serial bus interface. The operating principle, functional structure of fingerprint reader are described, it studied how to write the device driver program and peripheral equipment interface communication software .The maximal feature of the system design is that it uses computer peripheral technique of plug and play and modularization design idea.
