摘要
Did Four Hermits of Shangshan live in seclusion in Shangshan or in Western Hill of Dongting Lake from late Qin Dynasty to early Han Dynasty?There has been still disput e about this issue between Shaanxi and Jiangsu province.The author gives us a definite answer with his abundant materials and the family trees of four Hermits obtained by investigation that the Four Hermits had lived in seclusion in Shangshan form the beginning of their seclusion till the early Han Dyansty,and that their family members came from their hometown in south China to live together with them.They multiplied and lived in Shangshan during the following times.Thus their decendents live in all parts of Shangluo city today and has moved to other provinces and cities.Zhou,wu,Cui,and Tang,the four big families,are the main source of Shangluo city’s population.
