摘要
将社会视为一个“系统”与将社会视为一种实体的“物”这两种概念 ,虽对人类学的社会研究做出了相当的贡献 ,但也成为理论推展的主要障碍 ,成为人类学家亟待解决的问题。在 2 0世纪 80年代以前人类学家多是在“系统”这个概念上来寻求突破 ,80年代之后则开始设法摆脱“社会是一个物”这个概念 ,以获致理论的进展。大体说来 ,前者的努力并不成功 ,因为他们始终不能摆脱“社会”这个由Durkheim所创造出来的实体 ;而后者则重新检讨了“社会(society)”以及与之相对的“个人(individual)”这两个概念 。
The notion of considering society either as a “sy stem” or a real“thing” has become a main problem waiting for anthropologists to solve. Despite great contributions to social research, it has become a major obstacle in developing theory. Anthropologists tried to have breakthrough in the notion of “system” before the 1980s while began to obtain development in theo ry by doing away with that of “society is a real thing” after the 1980s. In ge neral, the effort of the former is paid off because they couldn't get rid of “s ociety” ——a real thing, which was created by Durkheim, however, the latter ha s brought new developing opportunities to anthropological social theory because they had a new discussion on the notion of “society” and that of “individual ”, which is its opposite.
