包覆燃料颗粒包覆层性能测试方法

摘要 高温气冷堆包覆燃料颗粒,是由UO2燃料核芯和在它上包覆热解碳和SiC层材料构成。为测量这些微小颗粒包覆层材料的性能,专门研究了一些测试方法和专用仪器。 The coated fuel particle for high temperature gas reactor(HIGR) consists of the phyrolitic carbon(PyC) and SiC layers,deposited on the UO 2 kernel.The thickness of PyC and SiC layers is only 30 90 μm.In order to measure their properties,the measurement methods for the thickness and density of PyC and SiC layers.PyC orientation anisotropy and SiC Young′s modulus and so on have been developed.The particle size analyser and the device for measuring Yong′s modulus of the small samples and so on have been made.The measurement precisions for the density of PyC and SiC layers and the layer thickness by the radiograph are within 0.01 g/cm 3 and 1 μm,respectively.These measurement methods play an important role in the R & D of HTGR fuel element,and will be used in the quality control of the fuel element fabrication for Chinese 10WM High Temperature Experiment Reactor.
