Objective: To evaluate the effect of breast milk olfactory stimulation on neonatal operational pain and feeding. Methods: PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, CBM, CNKI, VIP and Wanfang database were retrieved for relevant randomized controlled trials of the effect of breast milk olfactory stimulation in neonatal care from the establishment of databasesto November 2021. Meta-analysis was conducted by RevMan 5.3. Results: Totally 10 RCTs involving 624 neonates. The results suggested that breast milk olfactory stimulation could reduce the score of procedural pain of neonates (P 0.05). Subgroup analysis was conducted according to amount of breast milk intervention. The results showed that 2 ml of breast milk could improve the blood oxygen saturation during painful operation (P 0.05). Conclusions: Breast milk olfactory stimulation can alleviate procedural pain and promote the process of neonatal feeding.
