The Value of MRI in the Assessment and Prediction of Uterine Fibroid HIFU Efficacy

子宫肌瘤是育龄期妇女最常见的良性肿瘤,高强度聚焦超声(high intensity focused ultrasound)作为一种新的非侵入性手术方式在子宫肌瘤的治疗中越来越受欢迎。由于肌瘤内部结构异质性,肌瘤直径,技术局限性等原因不同患者的HIFU疗效有所不同,因此患者HIFU治疗疗效的评估和术前预测非常重要。磁共振成像(MRI)以高软组织分辨率、无创无辐射等特点在子宫肌瘤诊疗中尤为重要。本文综述了MRI在高强度聚焦超声治疗子宫肌瘤疗效评价和预测中的作用。

Uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumours in women of childbearing age and HIFU is an increasingly popular new non-invasive surgical treatment for uterine fibroids. The efficacy of HIFU varies from patient to patient due to the heterogeneity of the internal structure of the fibroids, fi-broid diameter, and technical limitations;therefore, it is important to evaluate the efficacy of HIFU treatment in patients and to predict the efficacy of HIFU in the preoperative period. Magnetic reso-nance imaging (MRI) is particularly important in the diagnosis and treatment of uterine fibroids because of its high soft-tissue resolution and non-invasive and radiation-free characteristics. This article reviews the role of MRI in the evaluation and prediction of the efficacy of HIFU for the treat-ment of uterine fibroids.
