Objective: To compare the effects of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) at 0.16 MPa and 0.20 MPa pressure on coma patients after severe traumatic brain injury. Methods: This is a retrospective analysis. A total of 78 coma patients with severe traumatic brain injury were treated with 0.16 MPa hyperbaric oxygen therapy and 41 patients were treated with 0.20 MPa hyperbaric oxygen therapy. We compared the changes in GCS score, ADL score and GOS score before and after treatment between the two groups. Results: The GCS scores of the two groups increased to varying degrees after treatment, and the curative effect of the 0.16 MPa treatment group was better than that of the 0.20 MPa treatment group in the very severe patients with GCS scores of 3~4 (P < 0.05). Conclusion: 0.16 MPa hyperbaric oxygen therapy can improve the efficacy of coma patients after severe traumatic brain injury, especially for very severe patients.
