The cultural industry theory, which originated in the era of mass communication, profoundly criticizes the standardized and pseudo-personalized mass culture, and reveals the strong alienation effect of the cultural industry on people. Since the new era, the “rice circle” culture with fan culture as the essence has entered the public view with various anomie phenomena. The enthusiasm derived from the flood of talent shows, such as ranking control rating, krypton gold support and network violence, have gradually become the focus of public opinion discussion. The bad value orientation be-hind this phenomenon is gradually concerned by all sectors of society, and the call for strengthening the governance of the rice circle is increasingly high. In this context, the analysis and reflection of the rice circle by the cultural industry theory of Frankfurt school are of great significance to relieve the role of alienation and promote the spirit of rational enlightenment.
