The Effect of Children’s Mobile Phone Involvement on Subjective Well-Being—The Mediate Effect of Low Self-Esteem and the Moderate Effectof Friendship Quality

目的:探讨儿童手机依赖与主观幸福感的关系,以及低自尊的中介作用和友谊质量的调节作用。方法:采用手机依赖问卷(MPIQ)、儿童抑郁量表(CDI)、中国居民主观幸福感量表简本(SWBS-CC20)、友谊质量问卷,运用整群抽样法对420名儿童进行调查。结果:1) 手机依赖负向预测主观幸福感(β = −0.17, t = −4.24, p = 0.22)。2) 低自尊在手机依赖与主观幸福感之间起部分中介作用,间接效应值为−0.09 (效应占比29.03%)。3) 友谊质量调节低自尊对主观幸福感的影响(β = −0.09, t = −2.4, p = 0.94),并且在轻度低自尊的条件下,友谊质量的保护作用更为显著。结论:低自尊在手机依赖与主观幸福感之间起部分中介作用。友谊质量调节了低自尊对主观幸福感的影响,与减弱模型一致。

Objective: This study aims to explore the relationship between children’s mobile phone Involve-ment and subjective well-being, examining the mediating role of low self-esteem and the moderat-ing role of friendship quality. Methods: The research utilized the Mobile Phone Involvement Ques-tionnaire (MPIQ), the Children’s Depression Inventory (CDI), the Simplified Chinese Resident Sub-jective Well-being Scale (SWBS-CC20), and the Friendship Quality Questionnaire. A total of 420 children were surveyed using a cluster sampling method. Results: 1) Mobile phone Involvement negatively predicts subjective well-being (β = −0.17, t = −4.24, p = 0.22). 2) Low self-esteem partially mediates the relationship between mobile phone involvement and subjective well-being, with an indirect effect value of −0.09 (accounting for 29.03% of the effect). 3) The quality of friendship moderates the impact of low self-esteem on subjective well-being (β = −0.09, t = −2.4, p = 0.94), and its protective role is more pronounced under conditions of mild low self-esteem. Conclusion: Low self-esteem plays a partial mediating role between mobile phone in-volvement and subjective well-being. Friendship quality moderates the impact of low self-esteem on subjective well-being, consistent with a weakening model.
