The Core Problem of Evaluation Criterion of Art in History

Arts have experienced a long period of changes of eras and ideas, showing various aesthetic paradigms and forming a variety of genres, forms, styles, and schools. It seems that the notion of art appraisal has long been changing, and the expression of arts has been greatly affected by external and internal factors such as historical, political, economical, and cultural factors. Understanding of arts essentially is an ontological proposition about the authentic existence and free development of human being, and it has been keeping pace with the development process of human understanding of the world.
