“The Holocaust” is one of the great historical tragedies in the history of human civilisation. During World War II, the iron horsemen of Nazi Germany carried out an inhumane purge of the Jewish people, while France, due to the changing position of the government and the disagreement between the government and the public, has created an awkward position in this history and a complex and ambiguous national memory of the Jewish Holocaust in World War II. This essay examines the films on French Jewish children of World War II over the last ten years, analysing the construction of characters, the choice of narrative perspectives and the performance characteristics of the narrative style, and examines how they use children as a medium to tell and review this history, how they construct the real world in the eyes of children in a special historical context, and how the images presented from the perspective of children can and how these images, presented from a child’s point of view, reflect the particular national collective memory of this historical event in France.
