党的十八大以来,党和国家事业取得了全方位、开创性的成就,实现了深层次、根本性的变革。这些历史性成就和历史性变革表明,我国发展站到了新的历史起点上,中国特色社会主义进入了新的发展阶段。习近平总书记作的党的十九大报告指出:经过长期努力,中国特色社会主义进入了新时代,这是我国发展新的历史方位。那么,新时代新在哪?本文从承前启后、继往开来,主要矛盾发生转变,理论创新,建设现代化强国,我国日益走近世界舞台中央等方面,全面揭示了新时代的新特征。

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party and China have made groundbreaking achievements in all domains, in addition to realize profound and fundamental transformation. These historical achievements and transformation demonstrate that China’s development has reached a new start in history, and the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics entered a new stage. General Secretary Xi’s report at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that after long term efforts, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered its new era, which defines new directions of China’s development in history. One main question to understand directions of China’s development is: what is the new connotation of the new era?
