进步主义运动的发生,推动了美国政治、经济、文化各方面的变化。进步主义运动的热潮为妇女参与社会生活创造了机会,推动了美国中产阶级妇女参与其中,为谋求自身权利而斗争。同时,中产阶级妇女投身于争取妇女选举权、工人权利、社会主义运动等诸多进步事业中,成为进步主义运动的重要力量。

The progressive movement promoted the changes of American politics,economy and culture.The upsurge of the progressive movement created opportunities for women to participate in social life and promoted the participation of middle-class American women in the struggle for their rights.At the same time,middle class women campaigned for women’s suffrage,workers’rights,and socialism,as well as many other progressive causes,becoming an important force in the progressive movement.
