摘要
北京师范大学–香港浸会大学联合国际学院(简称北师港浸大)作为中国内地与香港的第一家合作设立的综合性大学,为我国的大学生设计了独特的全人教育必修课程,体验了国际化与本土化教育理念的高度结合。全人教育是博雅大学教育的基本精神,也是中西共通的理念,可以追溯到古希腊培养“自由人”和先秦时期儒家的“君子”之教。全人教育的课程化,计算学分作为必修课程学生不完成不能毕业,已超越了欧美大学的重视程度。“体验式学习”作为全人教育的主要教学方法,也丰富了大学教育的多样性,加上寒暑假的延伸活动,让全人教育与终身学习连接。全人教育的课程已托展到校青少年和在职社区青年。
As one of the pioneer universities jointly established by the mainland of China and Hong Kong, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (hereinafter referred to as UIC) has designed a unique Whole Person Education (WPE) Curriculum for students. WPE at UIC witnessed a gradual process of integrating international and Chinese education philosophies. Whole person development is the founding stone of Liberal Arts Education and its importance is fully recognized by educators in both East and West. It can be traced back to the cultivation of “Dynamis”, the man with a free will in ancient Greece and the Confucian concept of “Junzi”. As a compulsory component, students are required to complete the courses of Whole Person Education for graduation. Through teaching method of “experiential learning”, whole person education enriches the modalities of learning life. In addition, extending optional learning programs to winter and summer breaks in the form of extra-curricular activities connect Whole Person Education with student interests and develop habits for lifelong learning. Whole Person Education is also shared with local secondary schools and enterprises.
