The calculus course plays a pivotal role in the fundamental education of management majors in financial and economic universities. Consequently, the seamless incorporation of ideological and political education into the course has emerged as a crucial and pressing developmental direction. This paper explores specific measures and implementation strategies for infusing ideological and political elements into the teaching of calculus, focusing on dimensions such as patriotism, dialectical thinking, willpower, scientific spirit, and values shaping. The aim is to seamlessly integrate ideological and political elements into classroom teaching, achieving the goals of holistic and comprehensive education, embodying the educational philosophy of fostering virtue and talent, and cultivating students’ correct outlook on life, values, and the world.
