摘要 本文首先解析了英语专业美国文学课程通识化改革的前瞻性和可行性,接着分析了当前美国文学课程设计中存在的问题,包括知识体系陈旧、重内容轻思维、对美国文化过分渗透缺乏警惕等。在此基础上,提出美国文学通识化改革的可行路径,即“时代化与相对化”、“思维与内容并重”、“中美价值并蓄,培养健康价值取向”等。并介绍了实践中的一些具体做法。这些理念与方法不仅为美国文学课程改革提供一种思路,同样适用于英语专业的类似课程,如英国文学、西方思想经典等,并为其他课程提供借鉴。 The paper first gives an analysis on the prospectiveness and feasibility of incorporating General Education in the course of American Literature, and points out the defects in present course de-sign, such as outdated knowledge structure, over emphasis on contents than mode of thinking, and insufficient precautions to US cultural penetration;then proposes the possible ways for rendering the incorporation envisioned, including updating and relativizing knowledge structure, putting equal emphasis on mode of thinking and content, and fostering positive value orientation by helping students assimilate Chinese and American values eclectically, while introducing some concrete methods for doing so in practice. These notions and methods are enlightening to the course reform of not only American Literature, but also similar ones in the English major, such as British Literature, Classics of Western Thoughts, as well as many others.
