In probability theory and mathematical statistics, this paper discusses the selecting principle of case, analyzes its design methods and many constraints and influence factors. It analyzes the ad-vantages and adaptability of some specific cases through practical teaching. Case teaching method can stimulate students’ interest in learning, cultivate students’ ability to comprehensively apply mathematical theory knowledge to solve objective practical problems, and achieve good teaching effects.
