Under the background of the promulgation of the “Double Reduction” policy and the release of the New Curriculum Standard, it is necessary to explore the design of high-quality junior English unit overall homework. Therefore, based on the principles of junior English unit overall assignment design from the perspective of core competencies, this paper takes Unit 8 How do you make a banana milk shake? (hereafter referred to as Unit 8)in the first book of the eighth grade of People’s Education Press as an example to analyze the strategies of junior English unit overall assignment design from the perspective of core competencies, in order to realize the value of the unit overall assignment design, which provides a useful reference for junior English assignment design.
