摘要 新时代背景下,将“讲好中国故事”的理念融入英语专业演讲课堂,契合了时代发展的需求,也为演讲课堂的教学提供新的思路。本文以安徽大学英语演讲课程为例,探讨了在课程中如何使用《理解当代中国:英语演讲教程》,挖掘其中国元素,设计教学安排和活动,提升学生对外讲好中国故事能力的实践和做法。In the new era, integrating the concept of “telling China’s stories well” into English public speaking course for English majors not only meets the demand of times, but also provides a new path for English public speaking teaching. This article takes the “English Public Speaking Course” at Anhui University as an example to explore how to use “Understanding Contemporary China: A Public Speaking Course”, including digging out the Chinese elements in the textbook and organizing teaching activities accordingly to enhance students’ ability to tell China’s stories to the world.
