Digital Transformation and Sustainable Development Performance of Pharmaceutical Enterprises

在数字化时代的今天,物联网、大数据等信息技术的快速发展为我国企业数字化转型创造了良好的发展条件,数字化转型对企业可持续发展绩效产生了重要影响。本文基于2014~2021年沪深A股上市制药制造业公司面板数据进行实证分析,利用Python技术构建数字化转型指标,采用制药企业的环境绩效和财政绩效来评估企业可持续发展绩效。从中介效应等角度研究制药企业数字化转型对可持续发展中财政绩效和环境绩效的影响。研究发现:(1) 制药企业实施数字化转型能够提高企业的财政绩效;(2) 制药企业实施数字化转型能够提高企业的环境绩效;(3) 通过绿色技术创新发挥中介作用,使得数字化转型对可持续发展绩效中财政绩效和环境绩效产生正向积极的促进作用。

In today’s digital era, the rapid development of information technologies such as the Internet of Things and big data has created good development conditions for the digital transformation of Chinese enterprises, and digital transformation has had an important impact on the sustainable development performance of enterprises. Based on the panel data of A-share listed pharmaceutical manufacturing companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2014 to 2021, this paper uses Python technology to construct digital transformation indicators, and uses the environmental performance and financial performance of pharmaceutical companies to evaluate the company’s sustainable development performance. This paper studies the impact of digital transformation of pharmaceutical enterprises on financial performance and environmental performance in sustainable development from the perspective of intermediary effect. The results show that: (1) the implementation of digital transformation in pharmaceutical companies can improve the financial performance of enterprises;(2) the implementation of digital transformation by pharmaceutical companies can improve the environmental performance of enterprises;(3) through green technology innovation, digital transformation can play a positive role in promoting financial performance and environmental performance in sustainable development.
