摘要
房价是目前关乎民生福祉的重大社会问题。本文基于华中地区42个地级市2011~2020年的面板数据,运用双向固定模型、门槛效应探究房价、人口规模与创新的影响机制,并对不同省份进行异质性分析。实证结果表明:房价与区域创新具有正相关关系,且存在区域异质性,进一步研究发现人口规模能够放大房价对区域创新的正向影响;另外,人口规模作为门槛变量存在双门槛效应,房价对区域创新的影响呈递增态势。
Housing prices are a major social issue related to people’s livelihood and well-being. Based on the panel data of 42 prefecture-level cities in Central China from 2011 to 2020, this paper uses a two-way fixed model and threshold effect to explore the influencing mechanism of housing prices, population size and innovation, and conducts heterogeneity analysis in different provinces. The empirical results show that housing prices are positively correlated with regional innovation, and there is regional heterogeneity, and further research finds that population size can amplify the positive impact of housing prices on regional innovation. In addition, population size has a double threshold effect as a threshold variable, and the impact of housing prices on regional innovation is increasing.
