Changes in media technology continue to break down the limits of time and space, leading people to form “digital groups” on the Internet at any time and anywhere. On the one hand, the group can integrate and correct the individual’s opinion, so as to form the group’s opinion, thus forming the power of public opinion that affects the development of the whole society;on the other hand, the bad group dynamics will lead to the individual’s slackness and de-individualization, which will lead to the errors in our behaviors and understanding, and is manifested in the phenomenon of “group hooliganism”. In this phenomenon, the group shows a kind of “pseudo-justice” and “impulsiveness”, and starts to hunt the “public enemy of the whole internet” with the “illusion of justice”. This paper explores the operation mode of this phenomenon in Hated in the Nation from the propagation characteristics of the phenomenon of “network hooligans”, and gradually upgrades this kind of symbolic violence into real-life behavioral violence.
