中医药术语汉英双语平行语料库的创建和应用探讨

Construction and Application of Chinese-English Bilingual Corpus for TCM Terminologies

为了解决国际上中医术语英译名混乱的现象,多个国内外权威组织的专家学者曾尝试为其设立统一的国际标准,但是,由于中医术语英译本身的复杂性,再加上历史、经济、文化和国家话语权等等因素,诸多国内外术语英译标准并未能在世界范围得到很好的推广和一致认可,造成一定的国际交流障碍。在此情况下,笔者认为通过收集整理国内外各个版本的中医术语英译标准,并应用语料库技术,可以实现一键查询多个中医药术语英译本的功能,从而不仅可以很大程度上解决该问题,还可以使人们进一步了解该术语多方面的含义及诸多英译本的情况。本文对中医药术语汉英双语平行语料库创建和应用作了一些介绍和有益尝试,希望能为中医药的国际交流和“一带一路”中医药服务添砖加瓦。

In order to solve the problem of the confusion of English translation of terminology of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the world,experts and scholars from several domestic and foreign authoritative organizations have tried to establish an international unified standard for it.However,due to the complexity of the English translation of TCM terminology,plus factors such as the history,economy,culture,and national discourse rights,many domestic and international standards for TCM terms have not been widely promoted and uniformly recognized in the world,resulting in obstacles of international exchanges.Under this circumstance,the author believes that by collecting and arranging various versions of TCM terminology translation standards at home and abroad,and applying corpus technology,the function of looking up multiple English versions of TCM terms can be achieved by one click.It can not only largely solve the problem of communication,but also make people understand more about the various meanings of the TCM terms and the situation in multiple versions of English translation.This article is to give some introductions and useful endeavors on the establishment and application of the Chinese-English bilingual corpus of TCM terminologies,hoping to contribute to TCM’s international exchanges and“One Belt One Road”services.
