摘要 英汉语言在表达动作发生的概念时,都可以选择动、静态的表达方式。但英汉语言在动静态的表达方式的选择上有所不同。本文从词汇层面入手,选取外国小说The Return of the Native及其中译本,比较英汉语言的动静态差异。研究发现,英语由于语法限制,一个句子只能有一个谓语动词,因此借助名词、介词等其他词性的词来表达动作概念的情况多于汉语,而汉语重视动态描写,多使用动词使得语句形象生动,便于理解。 When expressing the concept of action,English and Chinese can choose both static expression and dynamic expression while their choices are different.Starting with the vocabulary level, this paper selects the English novel The Return of the Native and its Chinese translation, and compares the dynamic and static differences between English and Chinese. It has been found that, due to the grammatical restrictions in English,a sentence can only have one predicate verb. Therefore,it prefers to use other parts of speech, such as nouns and prepositions,to express the concept of action. This is more common in the English version than Chinese, while the Chinese version emphasizes kinetic description and often uses verbs to make the sentence vivid and easy to understand.
