摘要
各国有着特定的民族群体,并在长期的历史发展过程日积月累形成的独特的行为模式和语言习惯。英汉习语的形成和使用差异便折射了中西不同民族文化下的心理和价值取向的不同。习语是一个文化的载体和语言的精华,人们常借用长期以来提炼出的习语表达观点和情感,因为习语结构简单、生动形象且短小精悍,关键是带有浓厚的民族特征和文化内涵。但中西文化有着一些本质上的区分,导致中西价值取向和语言表达上有着明显的区别。本文旨在借助克拉克洪–斯托特柏克构架对中西民族文化价值取向下英汉习语的差异性进行研究,并就差异化在跨文化交际中的运用进行阐述。
Different countries have their own national characteristics which form a series of unique behaviour patterns and linguistic models. The distinction of using idioms between Chinese and English reflects the different value orientations shaped from Chinese cultures and those of Western. Idioms are the elite of a cultural linguistics and have been used to express their people’s emotions and opinions. It has simple structures and always sounds vivid with colorful national style and connotation. Nevertheless, there are lots of distinctions between Chinese and English because of the difference between the two cultures. The paper is a contrastive study of the distinction of idioms between Chinese and English based on Kluckhohn, F. R., &Strodtbeck, F. L.’s Value Orientations, and tries to elaborate on the application of the theory through inter-cultural communication.
