摘要
本研究以北京高校78名学生为研究对象,采用定量与定性相结合的研究方法,利用简化跨文化敏感度量表(ISS-15)调查了其跨文化敏感度,并通过相关性分析、回归分析以对跨文化敏感度与英语听说能力的关系进行了研究。结果表明,跨文化敏感度与英语听力能力无显著相关性,但与英语口语能力成显著正相关。跨文化敏感度五个因子(交际参与度、交际信心、交际愉悦度、差异认同感和交际专注度)对英语听说能力发展的影响存在差异。本研究不仅对学生如何增强跨文化能力以及提高英语听说能力具有启发意义,同时也为教师改善跨文化教学以有效促进学生英语听说能力的提高提供了指导和建议。
Taking 78 Beijing undergraduates as subjects, this research investigates the relationship between intercultural sensitivity and English speaking and listening competence by questionnaires and semi- structural interviews. Results show that intercultural sensitivity significantly correlates with English speaking competence but it does not show any significant correlation with English listening competence. Five aspects of intercultural sensitivity (interaction engagement, interaction confi-dence, interaction enjoyment, interaction attentiveness and respect for cultural difference) influ-ence the development of English speaking and listening competence to different degrees. The re-search result not only helps students to better improve intercultural sensitivity and English com-petence, but also sheds light on the cross-cultural teaching.
