摘要
《浮生六记》为清代文人沈复所著,有“小红楼梦”之称。本文以《浮生六记》林语堂英译本和雪莉•布莱克英译本为研究对象,以刘宓庆翻译美学为理论基础,从形式系统、非形式系统两个层面对比分析两个译本的审美再现。对比分析显示:两个译本在形式系统层面的审美再现策略与方法上差异性不显著,审美再现的效果也难分伯仲,但在非形式系统层面,二者显示差异较大,布莱克译文对原文的创造性改写之处较多,充分发挥了译者作为审美主体的主观能动性。
Fu Sheng Liu Ji by Shen Fu, a scholar in the Qing Dynasty, is highly acclaimed as a literary master-piece. In the light of translation aesthetics established by Liu Miqing, this paper makes a comparative analysis of the aesthetic representation in Lin Yutang’s and Shirley Black’s English versions of Fu Sheng Liu Ji in terms of formal system and non-formal system. The analysis shows that it is hard to say which version is better in terms of the aesthetic representation at the level of formal system. In terms of the aesthetic representation at the level of non-formal system, however, Black’s translation sheds more light on literary translation for its creative rewriting, which gives full play to translator subjectivity.
