The book University English for Academic Purposes in China: A Phenomenological Interview Study describes the unique academic English learning experience of four college students, in order to explore generational characteristics of today’s Chinese university youth and the indispensable dispositions affecting their English academic achievements. The methods used are Seidman’s phenomenological in-depth interviewing. Meanwhile, a large amount of interview data and teaching reflection recorded in the book provide a reference for optimizing the academic English teaching model and express Dr. Rao’s bright vision of the development of academic English.
