摘要
京剧艺术的形式、特点和内涵决定了它属于海外传播、文化外宣的重要载体。翻译界已论证归化、异化策略对于京剧翻译及传播具备重要作用。结合京剧艺术的特点,作者提出两点假设:第一,京剧翻译中归化与异化策略相辅相成;第二,对于类型不同、传播目的不同的京剧文本,归化、异化的策略选择上应有明显的倾斜。作者从三本中英对照的京剧读本中选取案例进行分析、论证,最终证实该假设。本研究从宏观、微观两个角度给出了京剧翻译策略、技巧的建议,以期为京剧翻译研究及实践提供一定思路,为京剧文化走出国门贡献自己的力量。
Peking Opera owns unique art form and connotation. Therefore, it is an important carrier for the over-sea propaganda and external publicity of China’s culture. There are plenty of studies which have testified to the significance of domestication and foreignization for the translation and dissemination of Peking Operas. Combining the characteristics of Peking Opera, the author puts forward two hypotheses: At first, domestication and foreignization mutually reinforce each other in the translation of Peking Operas;secondly, with regard to different categories or purposes of texts, there is an explicit priority in the choice between domestication and foreignization. The author analyses translation cases which are selected from three books about Peking Opera and finally verifies above hypotheses. In summary, the author provides suggestions both macroscopic and microscopic on the skill and strategy adopted in the translation of Peking Operas, in order to offer some enlightenment for the research and practice of translation of Peking Operas, and to make a contribution towards the transmission of Peking Opera.
