The movie Hi, Mom is widely watched by fans and has a good reputation. This paper analyzes the humorousness effects of the lines in the movie from the aspect of the theory of pragmatic presupposition. Seven angles of pragmatic presupposition are considered: misunderstanding, negation, revocation, adaptation, pun, covert, conversion. The study can help the audience interpret the verbal humor of the film from a pragmatic perspective.
