生态翻译理论下国产动漫电影中文化负载词的英译研究——以《白蛇》系列电影为例

A Study on the Cultural-Loaded Words in Domestic Animation from the Perspective of Eco-Translatology—A Case Study of White Snake Series

近年来国产动漫电影不断“走出去”,为外国观众了解中华文化提供了契机。影片中大量文化负载词的翻译不仅会影响影片质量和观看效果,也对传递源语文化至关重要。文章从生态翻译学视角讨论《白蛇》系列电影中文化负载词的英译。研究发现,译者要对中英文的翻译生态加以考量,对目的语生态环境进行“适应/选择”,尽力兼顾语言维、文化维、交际维这三个维度,使译文成功实现完全的适应性转换,以便更好传播中国文化。

In recent years, domestic animation films have become increasingly popular in western countries, providing opportunities for foreign audiences to understand Chinese culture. However, a large number of culture-loaded words in a film not only affect the quality of the film, but also play an important role in spreading Chinese culture. This paper discusses the translation of culture-loaded words in White Snake series from the perspective of ecological translation. The study shows that translators should consider the ecology of translation in both Chinese and English, adapt or select the ecological environment of the target language, from the linguistic dimension, cultural dimension and communicational dimension, so that the translation can achieve adaptive transformation, so as to better spread Chinese culture.
