高校语言景观调查研究——以宁波大学为例

Research on the Linguistic Landscape of University in China—Taking Ningbo University as an Example

近年来,语言景观的研究已经成为国际社会和社会语言学的热门议题之一,但国内对于高校语言景观的研究不多。本文通过定性和定量的研究方法收集整理宁波大学语言景观的数据资料,运用Grice的合作原则作为理论指导,搭建本文语言景观的理论框架,分析该校公共语言标牌的使用情况。宁波大学的中英文语码组合比例最大,纯中文语码组合居于第二,其中书法式金色繁体字的模式居多;该校语言景观基本满足合作原则的四个准则,标牌基本与周围环境相融合一致,但少部分的标牌缺少英文注释,出现英语翻译不规范等问题,有待进一步完善。本文可进一步改善宁波大学的语言景观,丰富国内高校语言景观的研究。

In recent years, the investigation into the linguistic landscape has become one of the hottest topics among the international society and social linguistics, however, research on the linguistic landscape of universities in China is a few. This paper made use of qualitative and quantitative methods to collect and classify the data and corpus of the linguistic landscape at Ningbo University. By applying Grice’s Cooperative Principle as theoretical guidance to construct the theoretical analysis of linguistic landscape, this dissertation could analyze the linguistic landscape in this university well. The study found that the combination of Chinese and English has the largest proportion, followed by pure Chinese among which the number of traditional Chinese characters in calligraphic and golden form is substantial. Most languages on the signs are in line with the cooperative principle. The signs are basically integrated with the environment, but a small number of these signs lack English notes, and there are problems such as irregular English translation. This paper could help improve the linguistic landscape at Ningbo University and enrich the exploration of linguistic landscape of the universities in domestic.
