生态翻译学视角下的北京冬奥会宣传片英译研究——以张家口赛区宣传片为例

摘要 中国为2022年北京冬季奥运会制作了一系列精美的宣传片来向全世界展现中华文明。张家口是此届冬奥会重要赛区。该赛区冬奥会宣传片将张家口这个原本默默无闻的河北省小城推向世界舞台,极大地促进了其发展。本文运用胡庚申提出的生态翻译学理论中的“三维”转换翻译方法对张家口赛区宣传片的英译进行分析与讨论,发现译者在语言维度上合理调整了译文句法结构,在文化维度上恰当处理了文化负载词,在交际维度上使原文中的交际意图在译文中得以体现。本文对于富含中国元素宣传片的对外翻译有一定启示。 China has produced a series of exquisite promotional videos for the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing to showcase Chinese civilization to the world. Zhangjiakou is an important competition zone for this Winter Olympics. The promotional video for this competition zone has pushed the previously unknown small city in Hebei province onto the world stage, greatly promoting its development. This article uses the “three-dimensional” translation method derived from the theory of eco-translatology proposed by Hu Gengshen to analyze the English translation of the promotional video for the Zhangjiakou competition zone. It finds that the translator has reasonably adjusted the syntactic structure of the translated text in the linguistic dimension, appropriately handled the culturally-loaded words in the cultural dimension, and transferred the communicative intention of the original text into the translated text in the communicative dimension. This article provides insights for the translation of promotional videos containing Chinese elements to foreign languages.
