摘要
外宣文本翻译工作是我国向世界展现自身实力与文化,彰显大国形象,推进人类命运共同体建设的重要途径。本研究以《二十大报告》英文译本为研究对象,通过预设理论来研究译者在翻译过程中的遣词造句。研究发现,依凭预设的合适性和共知性以及语用预设的隐喻性,译者可以更好地展示中国思想,提出中国主张,并在国际上讲好中国故事、传播好中国声音,突出中国特色。
The translation of publicity texts is an important way for China to show its strength and culture to the world, to show the image of a great power and to promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. Based on the presupposition theory in the English version of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, this study aims to explore the translator’s choice of words and sentences in the process of translation. Through the appropriateness and common knowledge as well as the metaphorical nature of pragmatic presupposition, the study finds that translators can better display Chinese thoughts, put forward Chinese claims, and tell China’s stories well, make the voice of China heard internationally as well as give prominence to Chinese charac-teristics.
