文化翻译观视角下李清照词中意象“花”的英译研究

Study on the English Translation of the Image “Flower” in Li Qingzhao’s Ci from the Perspective of Cultural Translation

在世界各种文化交流碰撞的背景下,中国的古典诗词不断走出国门引起世界的关注和研究,中国文学史上的明珠之一宋词在海外受到热烈追捧。在宋词中词人多用意象来营造氛围、表达情感,其中意象“花”就颇受词人青睐,频繁出现在宋词中,但由于各国文化理念的不同,对词中意象的精准英译和赏析对跨文化理解至关重要。文化翻译观就作为一种重要的文化理念,对翻译工作提出了注重跨文化交流的要求。本文以宋代著名女词人李清照的词为例,从文化翻译观这一视角出发,来探究李清照含有意象“花”的词的英译情况。

Under the background of various cultural exchanges and collisions in the world, Chinese classical poetry continues to go abroad to attract the attention and research of the world, and one of the pearls in the history of Chinese literature, Song Ci, has been warmly sought after overseas. In Song Ci, lyricists mostly use imagery to create atmosphere and express emotions, among which the image “flower” is quite popular with lyricists and frequently appears in Song Ci, but due to the different cultural concepts of various countries, accurate English translation and appreciation of the images in the Ci are essential for cross-cultural understanding. As an important cultural concept, the con-cept of cultural translation puts forward the requirements for cross-cultural communication for translation work. This paper takes the Ci of Li Qingzhao, a famous female lyricist of the Song dynasty, as an example, to explore the English translation of Li Qingzhao’s Ci containing the image “flower” from the perspective of cultural translation.
