《聊斋志异》中文化专有项的翻译策略探究

摘要 在全球化的背景下,许多中国优秀文学作品被译介到国外,作为中国古代文学的经典之作,《聊斋志异》也被译介到了海外。本文将以奈达的文化分类为导向,以《聊斋志异》中《罗刹海市》篇翟理斯的英译本为研究对象,将其中的文化专有项分为五种,并以艾克西拉对文化专有项的翻译策略研究为框架,分析翟理斯对《罗刹海市》翻译的策略选择,旨在促进中国典籍的英译,推动中国文化“走出去”。 In a globalized world, numerous Chinese excellent literary works are translated overseas. As one of the Chinese classics, many translations of Liao ZhaiZhi Yi are also spread all over the world. This paper will study the English version of The Luocha Country and the Sea Market translated by Her-bert Giles, which is excerpted from Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio. In this thesis, culture- specific items are categorized into 5 kinds under the guideline of Nida’s categorization of culture. Under the framework of translation strategies for culture-specific items put forward by Aixelá, this paper will analyze the strategies adopted by Herbert Giles in his translation version of The Luocha Country and the Sea Market. This study aims to promote the English translation of Chinese classics and accelerate Chinese culture “going global”.
