摘要
随着中国国际影响力的提高,越来越多的中国企业选择到国外发展,英文致股东信是企业与海外读者沟通的重要桥梁。本文通过采用修辞学理论及语料库方法对比研究比亚迪和通用汽车公司致股东信中元话语的分布情况和修辞特征,帮助中国企业了解致股东信的翻译需求,塑造权威形象,吸引海外投资者。
With the improvement of China’s international influence, more and more Chinese enterprises choose to develop abroad, and English shareholder letters are an important bridge for enterprises to communicate with overseas readers. By using the Rhetoric theory and corpus method, this paper makes a comparative study on the distribution and rhetorical features of metadiscourse in the let-ters to shareholders of BYD and General Motors, so as to help Chinese enterprises understand the translation needs of the letters to shareholders, build an authoritative image and attract overseas investors.
