“Three Beauties Theory” is a translation theory put forward by Mr. Xu Yuanchong. The so-called “Three Beauties” refers to the beauty of sense, sound and form. Under the guidance of Mr. Xu Yu-anchong’s “Three Beauties Theory”, this paper compares the two Chinese translations of George Gordon Byron’s poetry When We Two Parted by Zha Liangzheng and Chen Xilin. From the three as-pects of beauty of sense, beauty of sound and beauty of form, this paper compares and appreciates the reproduction of the original artistic conception, poetic rhythm and rhyme, and poetic form in the two Chinese translations. In the Chinese translation of poetry, it is difficult to take into account the three beauties, the translator should distinguish the priority, the principle is that the beauty of sense is greater than the beauty of sound, and the beauty of sound is greater than the beauty of form.
