从儿童本位论视角探析儿童诗翻译原则——以《一个孩子的诗园》的三个中译本为例

摘要 译介外国儿童诗是丰富中国儿童诗的一个重要途径。儿童诗具有诗歌和儿童读物的双重属性,要求译者既要考虑诗的语言,也要照顾儿童的需要。本文从儿童本位论视角出发,比较分析罗伯特•路易斯•斯蒂文森的《一个孩子的诗园》的曾思艺译本、漪然译本、屠岸译本三个中译本,探讨儿童诗翻译原则,寻求更好地为儿童而译的翻译方法。本文认为译者在翻译儿童诗时,应以儿童本位论为指导,注重儿童的兴趣爱好,考虑到儿童的知识水平、阅读能力和思维方式。为此,译者需坚持以下四个翻译原则:一是语言流畅、音韵和谐;二是表意准确、语言简单;三是保持童趣、善用修辞;四是恰当处理文化差异。 Translating foreign children’s poetry is an important way to enrich Chinese children’s poetry. Chil-dren’s poetry has the dual nature of being poetry and reading materials for children, so translators should not only maintain the linguistic characteristics of poetry, but also give consideration to the reading needs of children. From the perspective of child-oriented theory, this paper makes com-parative analysis of three Chinese versions of Robert Louis Stevenson’s A Child’s Garden of Verses, namely, Zeng Siyi’s, Yi Ran’s, and Tu An’s translation versions, and discusses the translation princi-ples of children’s poetry, so as to explore better methods to translate for children. This paper holds that translators of children’s poetry should pay attention to children’s interests and hobbies, take into account their knowledge level, reading ability and thinking mode under the guidance of child-oriented theory. To this end, translators should adhere to the following four translation prin-ciples: First, keep language smooth with harmonious rhyme;second, make sure that the expression is accurate and the diction is reader-friendly;third, keep the poetry childlike and make good use of rhetoric;fourth, handle cultural differences properly.
