生态翻译学视角下《登高》英译本对比研究

A Comparative Study of the English Translation On the Height from the Perspective of Ecological Translation Studies

中国古典诗歌语言凝练,意境丰富,是我国的文化瑰宝。古诗词英译有助于国家积极推动中华传统优秀文化走向世界,以增强国家的文化软实力。杜甫的《登高》被誉为“古今七律第一”,受到众多诗词爱好者的追捧,已经被很多翻译家译入英语及其他外语。本文以生态翻译学理论为指导,对《登高》的两个英文译本(许渊冲、Stephen Owen宇文所安)采取的翻译方法进行了语言维、文化维和交际维三个方面的比较分析,多维度研究中国古诗词在跨文化交流中的独特价值。

Chinese classical poetry, with its concise language and rich artistic conception, is the cultural treasure of our country. The English translation of ancient poetry can help our country actively promote the excellent traditional Chinese culture to the world, so as to enhance the cultural soft power of the country. Known as “the first of the Seven Rules in ancient and modern times”, Du Fu’s On the Height has been sought after by many poetry lovers and has been translated into English and other foreign languages by many translators. Guided by the theory of ecological translation, this paper makes a comparative study of the translation methods adopted by the two English translations of On the Height (Xu Yuanchong and Stephen Owen) from three aspects: linguistic dimension, cultural dimension and communicative dimension, so as to study the unique value of Chinese ancient poetry in cross-cultural communication in multiple dimensions.
