浅析时间序列在法语翻译中的意义和影响——以《你好,忧愁》两个中译本为例

摘要 发表于1954年的中篇小说《你好,忧愁》是由法国女作家弗朗索瓦兹·萨冈创作。这部小说运用第一人称的叙事方式,对青少年的心理进行了深入的挖掘。开篇由现时叙述开始,接着追忆过去,讲述作者在地中海沿岸度暑假的事件。小说大体以闪回,即“倒叙”的叙述方式为主,其中又夹杂着交错使用的时序。故事叙说的时间脉络总体清晰,却又变化复杂,对人物心理和形象塑造、人物命运的暗示、情节的发展起着至关重要的作用。法文的动词时态变化即可体现时间变化、先后顺序,而中文仅看动词是无法体现时间因素,这加深了文本翻译中对复杂变化的时间序列的翻译难度。 Bonjour Tristesse, a novella published in 1954, was written by the French female author Françoise Sagan. This work uses a first-person narrative style to delve into the psychology of adolescents. It begins with a present-time narration, followed by reminiscences of the past, recounting the events of the author’s summer vacation along the Mediterranean coast. The narrative structure of the novella predominantly utilizes “flashbacks”, employing a retrospective storytelling technique intertwined with a complex use of chronological order. While the overall timeline of the story is clear, it is characterized by intricate variations, playing a crucial role in character psychology and characterization, suggesting character destinies, and developing plotlines. The changes in verb tenses in French reflect temporal shifts and sequence, whereas, in Chinese, the temporal aspect cannot be discerned solely from verbs, deepening the translation challenges of complex temporal sequences in the text.
