Variations in subway voice announcement styles are observed as a result of differing levels of subway usage and economic advancement in various cities. However, these variations can be categorized into three distinct phases as the overall evolution and patterns suggest. Initially, that is, the emergence of the trend of globalization, the Englishization is in the bud;in the second phase, the Englishization reaches the peak;in the third phase, the Englishization begins to decline after the peak, and the phenomenon of “de-Englishization” emerges. In recent years, the original anglicized geographical name signs are treated in standard Mandarin when broadcasting in foreign languages, and this evolution law has triggered heated debates. After reading the relevant information and literature, we found that there are many studies on the translation of the public announcement language of subway station names, but there are few studies on “Englishization” and “de-Englishization” of subway voice announcements. The paper focuses on the rhythmic beauty of Chinese tones through the comparative analysis of Chinese and English tones, and reveals the phenomenon of “de-Englishization” and the reasons behind it, in order to realize the subway announcements in the process of internationalization to show the cultural self-confidence of the country with reference to the relevant regulations.
