浅谈新闻翻译中的编辑

为确保新闻翻译的时效性,在新闻翻译中,翻译质量和翻译速度须受到同等关注。在保证新闻翻译时效性的同时,新闻翻译应最大程度忠实于原文,同时,保证新闻稿件的准确性,起到跨文化交际的功能和作用。对于从事新闻翻译的译者来说,新闻译文要兼顾准确度和时效性,而采用机器翻译可以一定程度上提高新闻翻译对速度,节省译者的翻译时间,确保新闻翻译的时效性。但目前,机器翻译仍然存在许多弊端,为确保译文能够尽可能地忠实原文,并发挥新闻文本的跨文化交际功能,译者需要在机器翻译之后作适当的编辑,审校和修正,以期达到翻译质量和翻译效率的同步提升。

In order to ensure the timeliness of news translation, translation quality and speed must be given equal attention. While ensuring the timeliness of news translation, news translation texts should be faithful to original texts to the greatest extent, and at the same time, guarantee the accuracy of the news manuscripts to realize cross-cultural communication. For translators who are responsible for news translation, the accuracy and timeliness should be taken into account in news translation, and the use of machine translation can enhance the speed and save the translators’ time as well as ensure timeliness. However, at present, machine translation still exists many drawbacks. To ensure that the translated text can be as faithful as possible to the original text, and to achieve cross-cultural communication function, the translator needs to make appropriate editing, proofreading and corrections based on the machine translation version, to enhance the translation quality and efficiency simultaneously.
