操纵理论视角下的外宣翻译——以孔子学院海外文艺巡演主持词的英译为例

摘要 在全球化时代,对外宣传受到了特别的关注,在跨文化交流中,对外宣传对树立良好健康的形象、传播中国故事、提升文化软实力起着不可替代的作用。按照勒菲弗尔的观点,翻译是对源文本的一种改写,而且这种改写是对源文本的操纵,它不再局限于文字之间的转换,而是一种更高层次的文化对话交流,反映了译者所处时代和社会的主流意识形态和诗学。文章基于勒菲弗尔的操纵理论,分析了操纵论在外宣翻译中应用的可行性。结合译例,详细描述了意识形态以及诗学对外宣翻译过程的操纵,旨在通过分析意识形态以及诗学操纵下的改写对外宣翻译的影响,引起人们对外宣翻译中改写的关注,这对地域文化的弘扬与传播发挥着重要的作用。In the age of globalization, foreign publicity has received special attention. In cross-cultural communication, foreign publicity plays an important role in establishing a positive image, spreading Chinese stories and enhancing cultural soft power. In Lefevere’s view, translation is the rewriting of the original language text, and rewriting is a kind of manipulation, which is no longer limited to the conversion between words, but a higher level of cultural dialogue and exchange, reflecting the mainstream ideology and poetics of the era and society in which the translator lives. Based on Lefevere’s manipulation theory, this paper analyzes the feasibility of the application of the manipulation theory in publicity translation. Combined translation examples, this paper details the manipulation of ideology and poetics on the process of foreign publicity translation, aiming to draw people’s attention to the rewriting in foreign publicity translation through analyzing the influence of rewriting under ideological and poetic manipulation on the foreign publicity translation, which plays an important role in the promotion and dissemination of regional culture.
