摘要
概念隐喻是人们对抽象范畴进行概念化的认知工具。外宣文本中的隐喻翻译已成为我国传播学界与翻译界共同关注的话题与研究的热点之一。从归化异化理论视角研究中国与世界政党高层对话会上的主旨讲话的英译本,剖析典型译例中不同的概念隐喻现象,可探讨译本采取的翻译策略。研究发现,在语料中,旅行隐喻的使用十分频繁;概念隐喻的英译多采用归化策略。本研究有助于国外读者更加准确地理解篇章中概念隐喻的含义,助力中国文化“走出去”。Conceptual metaphor is a cognitive tool for conceptualizing abstract categories. The English translation of conceptual metaphors in publicity texts has become one of the hot research topics in the fields of communication and translatology in China. From the perspective of domestication and foreignization, the paper analyzes the different conceptual metaphors in the typical English translation examples of the keynote speech at China in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting and explores their translation strategies. It is found that travel metaphors are frequently used in the texts. The English translation of conceptual metaphors mostly adopts the strategy of domestication. This study helps foreign readers to understand more accurately the meaning of conceptual metaphors and contributes to Chinese culture “going global”.
