厚翻译视域下史诗《江格尔》萨格拉·布达耶娃译本中的“忠、实、美”再现

摘要 2024年春晚,三大少数民族的史诗同台亮相,更加直观地展现了绚丽多彩的中华文化。作为三大民族史诗之一的《江格尔》是蒙古民间文化中具有代表性的文学艺术经典,是蒙古文学发展史上的一个高峰,但研究却甚少,实属遗憾。本文依托厚翻译理论,分析《江格尔》萨格拉·布达耶娃(Saglar Bougdaeva)英译本中的副文本元素——前言、注释、插图,研究发现布达耶娃译本通过在前言增补背景信息,借助注释引入蒙古游牧民文化,运用插图再现故事情境,实现了译本对“忠、实、美”的再现,最大限度接近史诗的原貌,为我国民族史诗外译提供新思路。In the 2024 Spring Festival Gala, the epic stories of the three major ethnic minorities appeared on the same stage, more intuitively showcasing the splendid Chinese culture. One of the three major national epics, “Jangar”, is a representative literary and artistic classic in Mongolian folk culture and a peak in the development history of Mongolian literature. However, there has been little research on it, which is regrettable. This article relies on the theory of thick translation to analyze the sub text elements—preface, annotations, and illustrations—in the English translation of Saglar Bougdaeva’s “Jangar”. The study finds that Bougdaeva’s translation supplements background information in the preface, introduces Mongolian nomadic culture through annotations, and uses illustrations to reproduce the story context, achieving the reproduction of “loyalty, reality, and beauty” in the translation, and maximizing the approach to the original appearance of the epic, providing new ideas for the translation of Chinese national epics.
