摘要
旅游是展示中国形象、增进文化交流的重要渠道。然而,当前旅游宣传文本的英译质量仍有待提高,可接受度不高。文化差异是其中一个重要因素,文章基于黄忠廉教授的变译理论,借助变通手段对旅游宣传文本进行分析,并结合具体案例探讨其在旅游文体翻译中的应用。提出相应对策:第一,通过增译手段,补充解释目的语空缺的文化因素或历史时期,给目标读者提供更多相关背景知识;第二,通过减译和缩译手段删除原文冗余信息,保留核心信息;第三,通过编译和述译手段,重新整理原文材料信息以及调整原文形式,使译文符合目的语的表达规范及目标读者的思维习惯。用简单直白的语言准确传递旅游信息,可为旅游宣传文本英译提供借鉴。Tourism is an important tool to demonstrate China’s image and enhance cultural exchanges. However, the quality of current English translation of tourism promotional texts still needs to be improved, and the acceptability is nit high. Cultural differences is one of the important factors. Based on Professor Huang Zhonglian’s theory of translation variation, this article analyzed tourism promo-tional texts and discussed its application of tourism translation with specific cases. Corresponding measures were proposed: addition helps explain the cultural factors or historical periods that are missing in the target language, providing more relevant background knowledge for the target readers;subtraction and abbreviation, the translator chose to delete redundant information of the original text and retain core information;compilation and interpretation refers to reorganize the original material and adjust the original sequence, so that the translation conforms to the expression habits of the target readers. It is important to use simple and straightforward language to accurately convey tourism information. The author hopes to provide reference for the English translation of tourism promotional texts.
